School Profile

Bankokwittayakarn School was originally named Prachaban School, Dong Daeng Subdistrict (Wat Ban Kok). It was established in 1922 (B.E. 2465), offering classes from Prathom 1 to Prathom 4. Mr. Sila Choengsa-at served as the first headmaster. Students from Ban Khwao, Ban Ngu Lueam, and Ban Phue Hi villages commuted to study together at the Wat Ban Kok pavilion.

  • 1928 (B.E. 2471): The pavilion was dismantled and rebuilt on land donated by a benefactor. Currently, this site has been excavated into a fishpond, located on the way to Ban Khwao village.

  • 1975 (B.E. 2518): Teachers and the Ban Kok community collaborated to construct a new elevated school building with 4 classrooms at Wat Ban Kok. Mr. Thongnak Wichiansri served as the headmaster.

  • 1980 (B.E. 2523): The school expanded its curriculum to cover Prathom 1 to Prathom 6. Villagers and teachers secured a new location separate from the temple and began constructing a new building (the school's current location). The temporary building from the temple was moved to the new site, and students began studying there in the 1981 academic year. The school was officially renamed "Bankokwittayakarn School."
